2021-2022 Back to School Information Sheet

As shared in the Nova Scotia Back to School Plan, we are moving to “Living with Covid” in our communities and in our schools. To help families with this process, we have created this school information sheet.
Before School
● At-Home Daily Self-Monitoring for COVID: The most up-to-date version can be found online at https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/docs/Daily-COVID-checklist-en.pdf
● Students need to stay home when they are ill.
● Remember to pack a mask and water bottle.
Getting to School / Drop off between 8:25am and 8:45am
● Masks are required for all students travelling on buses and within the building
During the School Day
● Washing Hands - We will continue to emphasize hand washing, before & after eating and during the day. All classrooms have a sink and sanitizer is provided in classrooms and around the school.
● Illness at School - If a child feels unwell or begins to exhibit COVID-19 symptoms, a parent or guardian will be contacted for pick-up. Our school will continue to monitor illness and follow direction from Public Health. When calling the office for an absence, please share the reason for the absence.
● We will continue to focus on learning indoors and outdoors, encourage physical movement and support your child’s well-being. If your child is bringing their own lunch, please ensure it is something they can manage independently.
After the School Day / Dismissal starts at 2:40pm
● Students will remain with their teacher at bell time and busses will be called as they arrive
● We ask that parents wait outside for pick up as before to help avoid any confusion
